Parent Permission Internet Assignments & Information
Please understand Poway Unified School District and Black Mountain Middle School always enforce a zero tolerance policy in terms of appropriate content for Student Use. I constantly monitor student activity with ITALC and look to keep out the inappropriate content. With this said, there are times students “may” see or hear internet garbage while attending this class. Please know I am active in keeping the less educational information out of the class.
The purpose of this class is not to train our youth to skirt the law or undermine ethical internet behavior, the purpose of this class is to teach ethical online behavior when the students are at home with no, to little, internet security. Staying safe online and enlightening the students to the internet are the main focus of this class. Why Is The WordPress Assignment Important?
WordPress allows a free database driven website/blog to be created on the fly. This blog allows the kids expression and communication and at the same time gives me a tool to assess instruction. Today’s education relies on information and I want to make sure our kids are not left behind.

a valid email address is required to setup an account with WordPress. A parent email address may be used to verify a user.
– content will contain only computer technology and education related information.

NO IDENTIFICATION OF ANY STUDENT IS USED. NO REAL ADDRESS IS USED. INTERNET SAFETY IS STRESSED FROM DAY ONE..

– content will be live information and be viewed by your parent[s].
We do not have the financial ability to to acquire software and WordPress offers a Free tool which is widely used throughout everyday life. When our kids reach high school, they will need to know this type of technology.
